About Renewal & COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

+ What COVID-19 safety precautions are being taken?

Providing a safe environment is a top priority. We have a list of safety precautions and details available in our Reopening Guide.

+ What should I expect when I arrive?

(See details of how Renewal is responding to the coronavirus here.)

When you first arrive, you will be greeted by friendly, socially-distanced volunteers. They will have masks on, but we promise you they're smiling underneath their masks!

Our volunteers will welcome you and ask you to check in to the service by scanning a QR code with your phone. (This is a safety precaution we are taking to make sure we stay within the city guidelines for in-person gatherings.) The volunteers will walk you through this process - it will only take a minute and it's really easy!

Next, our volunteers will walk you to an area to sit which will be pre-measured and spaced at an appropriate distance from others. Seating will be separated by household, so you will be at a safe distance from other guests.

It is a big step to come to a new church, and we want you to feel welcome and appreciated. We encourage you to talk to our volunteers, ask questions, and feel right at homme! If you would like someone to reach out to you in advance, make sure to click on the "Plan Your Visit" button anywhere on this page! Plus, you will get a copy of our list of 79 Must Try Boston Restaurants!

+ How long is a Renewal Church service?

Our current services are about 45 minutes. We begin with the Renewal Worship Team leading us in a few songs. Lyrics will be projected on screens so you can follow along. After this time of worship music, a pastor will share a Gospel-centered, hope-filled message. You can check out our past messages here!

+ What should I wear?

You are welcome to wear whatever clothing you are comfortable in. You do not need to dress up, although you are more than welcome to if you would like. Most people dress in casual attire.

+ Do I need to bring anything?

Normally we would say, "just bring yourself!" Due to the coronavirus, though, we are asking guests to bring a couple of things, in order to ensure your safety and comfort. Please bring a mask. Masks will be required to attend the service and must be worn at all times in order to keep everyone safe. We will have extra masks available in case you need one. You may want to consider bringing a water bottle (or coffee!), as we will be unable to provide any refreshments at the services for safety reasons.

+ What about my kids?

While our normal kids program, Renewal Kids, will not be available, your kids will love what we have planned for our weekly services! There will be great music, and we'll have coloring pages and individual wrapped packs of crayons for your kids.

Transportation

HILTON INTERIOR DIRECTIONS

+ Which entrance to the Hilton should I use?

Please use the entrance on Dalton Street. It looks like this:

+ Where in the Hilton are we meeting, and how do I get there?

We will typically meet in the Belvidere room at the Hilton. As soon as you enter the Hilton through the Dalton Street entrance, you will see a staircase. Take two flights of stairs up to the second floor, and you will arrive right outside of the Belvidere room. Alternatively, you can take the main elevator in the Hilton lobby to the second floor. There will be signs and people to direct you to the right spot!

+ Where are the bathrooms?

There are bathrooms on the second floor outside of the Belvidere room. A volunteer can point you in the right direction!

+ Is the service handicap accessible?

Yes! There is elevator access to the second floor where we will be meeting. If you have any trouble finding the elevator, just ask a greeter for assistance.
